2018 Theme: The Year of New Beginnings
Isiah 43:19
In Saying do not rememeber the past, Isaiah is mindful of captivity exile experience that the children of Isreal were accustomed to and knowing that you can't embrace the future when your hands/spirit/mind is full of the past. And hence the need to empty themselves or to let go of the old to create space to hold the new beginnings.(Luke 5:36-38, new garment/new wine skins)

2018 Foccus: Theme Scripture and Exposition
But the most important new beginning is spiritual, renewing our commitment to God in prayer and sanctification. It begins with a renewed relationship in prayer and fellowship with the Holy Spirit (John 15:7 abiding). If the children of Isreal were to experience this newness of things, they had to fully depend on God in order to move from the old into the new place. Same to us today, we can only experience new beginning with the help of Holy Spirit through prayer because true revival and restoration starts from a prayer movement - 2 Chronicles 7:14
